When returning a rental car, there’s no need to wash or wax it. Just make sure that it’s in the same condition you received it and reasonably clean. Another customer may be waiting to pick up the car once you return it. If the vehicle requires excessive or specialized cleaning, a cleaning fee may apply. So you must make sure you return the vehicle clean and avoid additional cleaning charges! The ABC AUTOCARS will always charge you if you return the vehicle in a messy condition. The vehicle will require deep cleaning, charging the hefty Advanced Valeting Fee. Pets are not permitted in any ABC AUTOCARS vehicles under any circumstances. Please ensure no animals are transported in the vehicle at any time. All ABC AUTOCARS vehicles are strictly non-smoking. Smoking inside a rented vehicle is prohibited. If smoking is detected - whether from cigarettes, vaping, or any other smoke-producing products—a $500 smoking violation fee will be charged. This $500 fee is for the violation only. No Smoking Policy Environmental factors can cause exterior contamination that requires more than a standard wash. Depending on severity, the renter may be charged an exterior Cleaning Fee ranging from $15 to $250. Examples include: Tree sap and heavy insect buildup often require special chemical treatment, which may result in higher fees. To minimize contamination, avoid parking under trees for extended periods. Interior issues may require professional cleaning. Examples include: Severe interior contamination - such as bodily fluids, biowaste, pet hair, smoke odor, or stains requiring steam cleaning - may result in violation fees in addition to the cleaning charges. No. ABC AUTOCARS provides every vehicle only after completing a full deep-cleaning process. You do not need to clean the vehicle when picking it up. For your personal comfort, you may use your own sanitizer, antibacterial wipes, or disinfectant to clean high-touch areas during your rental, but this is optional.
• It isn’t mandatory that you should clean the booked vehicle upon returning. If there’s clear evidence, ABC AUTOCARS shall be entitled, in its sole and absolute discretion, to charge you between $50-$500 plus an additional 3.5% processing fee for:
• Leaves/sand/interior dirt/minor food or beverage spills/sticky substances on the vehicle’s interior We will not charge a violation fee for the following minor cleaning issues.
• Minor interior messes consisting of small items that can simply be thrown away.

4. Exterior Contamination
Insects, Bird Droppings, Tree Sap, Mud, Spots, etc.

5. Interior Cleaning Fees

Depending on the condition, the renter may be charged an interior Cleaning Fee of from $20 to $250.

6. Do you have to clean a rental car while picking it up?

• Make sure that you take some photos of the vehicle, which is proof of the original condition of the rental, while picking it up. Also, take the vehicle’s interior and exterior photos while you return it.
• Ensure there is no trash or foul odor while you return the vehicle. Do a quick vehicle wash before returning if the vehicle is messy.
• Never park the booked vehicle under trees for a longer period.
• Strictly avoid smoking in a booked car.
• Returning the booked vehicle in an untidy condition will add a hefty cleaning fee to your total rental bill.

• Stains or residue in the vehicle’s interior that would require steam cleaning or a full detail.
9. Exceptions
However, if the vehicle requires additional cleaning, a standard cleaning fee of up to $250 may still apply.
• Light sand or leaves that can be removed easily without professional washing or vacuuming.
